St. Theresa's Parish Ugbo Odogwu

St. Theresa's (Therese) Catholic Church Ugbo Odogwu was founded in 1955 as an out station of Our Lady of Mercy Parish Iva Valley, Enugu. It was a thatched house with mud walls. However in 1982, the early Parishioners worked tirelessly to transform it into the block edifice depicted below.
In August 2002, the then Catholic Bishop of Enugu, Rt. Rev. Dr. A. O. Gbuji raised it to the level of a Parish and was handed over to the Discalced Carmelites to administer since September 2005 to the glory of God!
